Chart notes
BE KOZY raced close up to the early pace while between runners, stalked the pace two wide into the turn, bid three wide into the stretch then closed determinedly into the final sixteenth, wore down the stubborn runner-up in deep stretch and surged for the win in the final strides. COUSIN MINNIE showed good early speed and assumed command away from the start, set a decent pace to the quarter pole, dug in when challenged into upper stretch, kept to task into the final sixteenth, was overtaken in deep stretch and grudgingly gave way in the final stages, while clear of the rest for second. MOBIL DREAM STAR off a bit slow leaving the start, settled off of the early pace while never far back, saved ground into the turn and advanced nearing the quarter marker, raced within aim into upper stretch then shifted out a path at mid-stretch, was outkicked into the final sixteenth and was clear of the rest for third. EMERALD EYES off a bit slow to begin and was unhurried in the early going, gained ground three wide along the turn, ran in pursuit into the stretch then failed to sustain his bid in the late stages. ELOPEDATTHEDERBY tracked the early pace three wide, chased to the quarter marker, drifted out into upper stretch then gave way in the drive.
