Chart notes
SMARTY BE GOOD was unhurried early, went widest in the drive, closed willingly, got up late and drew clear. RACQUEL BLUE assumed command into the turn, drew away for a clear lead, led to deep stretch and was outclosed to finish second best. BAYOU CANDY was taken outside, rallied on the turn, closed steadily and earned show. DISTORTED LOUV raced close to the pace along the inside, bid rail turn to get within range, lacked a rally and lost position. SHOW' EM NOLA showed good early speed along the rail, dropped back into the turn and had no further response. RED VOLTA pressed the pace towards the outside, challenged for the lead on the turn, fell back and gave way. EXQUISITE CANDY was away alertly, led early, showed speed to the turn and stopped.
