Chart notes
HOLCOMBE raced up close in the three path, was cued passing the quarter, swung from the six path into the lane, bid passing the eighth pole, took the lead around the sixteenth, and drew clear. ASYMMETRIC set the pace in the four path, drew away in the two path around the turn, was cued in the four path at the top of the stretch, but was overtaken by an outer foe passing the sixteenth pole to be second best. PERFUMER tracked in the four path and was one paced from the six path down the stretch for show. DRAGGING MAIN had a slow start, raced off the pace in the three path and made no impact. BRIANS WAY chased in the two path but weakened in the stretch. DEFIANT MALICE trailed throughout.
