Chart notes
NO RHYME OR REASON came out slightly strides out of the gate then steadily advanced along the rail to take a slim lead, widened advantage around the turn, came two wide into the upper stretch, came under attack from rail running ADDY UP a furlong out, kept on gamely, held a slight edge, remained confidently handled and held firm. ADDY UP broke in at the start and tracked the early pace, launched a rail bid at the head of the lane, had to wait for a seam along the inside, gamely edged closer along the rail, raced in aim for the lead, could not get by game holding winner and had to settle for second best. DIXIE ONE settled off the early pace near the inside, angled out around the turn, hustled along four wide into upper stretch and cleared a share. STELLA BELLA vied for the lead in opening stages then conceded position and pressed the early pace, continued in aim two wide into the turn, could not move on with the eventual winner approaching the quarter pole, ran on to mid-stretch then came up tired. DIXIE SURPRISE vied in opening stages then continued in aim three wide mid-way up the backstretch, remained in contention around the turn then gave way. PROMISED OATH dropped to last after the opening quarter and steadily retreated.
