Chart notes
COMPORT prompted two wide, bid turning for home, dueled through upper stretch, wrestled an advantage leaving the furlong grounds and drove clear. PASSWORD broke a beat slow, steadied behind rivals approaching the five furlong pole, recovered off of the pace in the two path, progressed in the three to four path around the turn, drifted out to the six path entering the lane before leaning back to the four path shortly after, then unleashed a good kick in the final furlong, finished strongly and gained place late. CANNONEER broke a step slow, rushed quickly to reach the front shortly after, showed the way as an outer COMPORT applied stern pressure into and around the turn, dueled with that bidder into the lane, clung to an advantage through upper stretch, but was headed leaving the furlong grounds, weakened and lost place late. VERY QUIET chased from the three path, failed to threaten the leaders while sparring for fourth with an inner foe through the final furlong, and narrowly prevailed. MACCHIATO tracked along the inside, lacked progress while dueling for fourth with an outer rival through the lane, but got bested. OPUS UNO broke outwardly and was off slow, raced off of the pace in the five to four path into the turn, floated back to the five path while well back into the lane and failed to factor. IL SORPASSO was reluctant to load, trailed along the inside into the turn and showed little.
