Chart notes
ARTEMUS GORDON set the pace under pressure from EL BERRINCHES from the inside, shook that one off nearing the stretch and edged clear late. WESTPHAL saved ground while being reserved off the pace, swung out to come four-wide into the stretch and finished strongly. EL BERRINCHES prompted ARTEMUS GORDON from along the inside, was unable to stay with that one during the drive and held on well for third. ROCKET RIBBON tracked the pace while racing three-wide, moved up to offer a bid entering the stretch and then flattened out. DARK MYSTERY saved ground while being unhurried but failed to be a factor.
