Chart notes
VERITAS AEQUITAS was reserved off the pace, moved up four-wide nearing the quarter pole and finished strongly to be up in the final sixteenth. BEARINGS was allowed to settle while racing two-wide, then lacked room in traffic for the three-quarter pole to near the quarter pole, angled out when clear to be four-wide entering the stretch, moved further out during the drive and finished full of run when clear. OWHATARUSH vied with ELDER MACK for the lead from along the inside, shook that one off entering the stretch but was unable to resist the top two late. ELEGANT BOY was in tight on the first turn racing along the inside, dropped back slightly to chase the pace, rallied tree-wide into the stretch and finished willingly. COUNT DRACULA was prominently placed while racing three-wide but lacked a rally when asked. ELDER MACK prompted the pace from along the outside for six furlongs and tired.
