STEEL LINK sped to the lead at the start, set the pace up the backstretch and held firm over close running HUSKER BUTCH around the turn, hustled along two wide into the upper stretch, widened to a clear advantage and kept to task under steady urging. HUSKER BUTCH brushed a bit at the start and came away near the back, steadily advanced to race in close range just past the quarter pole, given cue two wide entering the turn, could not reach the eventual winner, sustained a steady bid down the lane and settled for second best. GO THE DISTANCE tracked in contention up the backstretch, saved ground around the turn, hustled along entering the upper stretch, stayed inside and held show. PLEASEUSETHEPORTAL raced off the top trio, chased two wide around the turn, was ridden along three wide into the upper stretch and needed more for late impact. CLEARWATER SUNSET raced in the back throughout.
