Chart notes
LOOKIN TO EXCEL took control shortly away from the gate, opened a clear lead down the backstretch while well in hand, widened on the turn and was unchallenged down the lane a convincing winner. OUR ETHAN CHARLES stalked the pace to the turn, ralied four wide on the bend, failed to gain on the winner and finished willingly to hold the place. TRUTH AND HONESTY tracked the leaders from two wide while well placed for the first half, angled six wide to the clear at the top of the lane and finished with late interest missing the place while best of the rest. COUNTRY RUCKUS chased the pacesetter to the quarter pole while coming under an early drive on the turn and weakened through the stretch. MEROKEE raced five wide down the backstretch in the clear, continued wide on the bend going evenly and failing to menace. BRIO raced wide the entire way while matching strides with MEROKEE, was unable to ever free himself from that one and failed to respond when asked turning for home.
