Chart notes
UPSIDEDOWN MAN , well back to the stretch, swung to the seven path in mid stretch, closed resolutely outside horses and was up in time. BORLETTI (IRE) stayed along the inner rail on the turn, eased out in upper stretch, was taken to the six path in mid stretch, advanced to gain the lead in deep stretch and just missed. MONCRIEF , a forward factor three deep around the turn, gained a short lead approaching the sixteenth pole and gave way grudgingly. CORRECTED PEDIGREE hugged the inner rail throughout, loomed in mid stretch then flattened out. TOUGH WORKOUT prompted the pace between horses and weakened late. GREAT KISSER set a pressured pace along the inner rail, drifted out a bit in upper stretch and weakened in the drive. VALORE hopped slightly at the break and was no factor. ROLLERCOASTER MAN , no factor, raced outside horses and floated to the eight path in mid stretch.
