HIGH CLASS TRIP was sent from the outside post to gain the lead passing the half-mile pole, went a little more than a length clear, maintained the margin through the turn, and went unchallenged to the wire in a sparkling debut. K G'S MAGIC hustled from the start but was beaten to the front, was being passed on the turn while under a ride, then finished up well under handling to gain a clear second. LOUISIANA WOMAN was under a drive from the half-mile pole, bid three wide on the turn, was no match for the winner but finished well to get the third spot. BELARSEN hustled away from the gate, chased HIGH CLASS TRIP through the turn, kept on well but was outfinished in the late stages. SIMPLE SPICE was unable to contest the early pace and was last midway down the backstretch, finished with some interest under steady handling and urging late was unable to threaten. CHICKA CHICK was under a drive to keep up early then steadied near the seven-sixteenths marker, was kept in a drive and was making some mild gain late in the game but was never a threat. SWEET AURORA G raced close up mid-pack then became rank heading onto the turn, went three wide then lacked a finish while still racing green. ARTIC SAILOR settled inside mid-pack, came three wide into the stretch but lacked a finish while having some trouble keeping a straight path. PERFECT DELIGHT broke awkwardly with the rider nearly coming out of the saddle, dropped far behind and trailed throughout.
