BAKBURNER broke sharply and tracked the leader into the backstretch while racing one out from the rail, forced the issue from the outside of VALERIE VALESKI in the run to the final turn, swept to the lead two wide entering the turn, and held a clear lead into the lane, while widening late under confident handling. FOOTHILLS BLVD. away well and stalked the leaders in the run down the backstretch while saving ground at the rail, awaited room briefly at the rail nearing the final turn, took up the chase two wide through the turn, and closed willingly one out from the rail in the drive to prove second best. TRIPLE L'S CUTTER settled at the back of the pack while saving ground at the rail entering the backside, launched her bid two wide entering the final turn, and finished with late interest three wide in the drive to get up for a share. VALERIE VALESKI away alertly and raced to the lead from along the rail entering the first turn, set a pressured pace from the inside of BAKBURNER in the run to the final turn, was unable to match strides with her pace rival entering the turn, and faded over the final furlong. B C CHRISTIE settled well off the contested early pace while racing two wide entering the backstretch, rallied four wide entering the final turn, but lacked the needed closing response when called upon.
