Chart notes
BOLD ARCH broke sharply and raced to the lead while under a tight hold entering the first turn, controlled the pace in the run down the backstretch and through the final turn, held a clear advantage into the lane, and was never threatened late while proving much the best. SOARINGFORTHESUN away alertly and tracked the pacesetter into the backside while racing one out from the rail, rallied two wide into the final turn while in pursuit of the pacesetter, was unable to cut into that lead over the final furlong, but finished willingly two wide in the drive to hold the place. SPACE tracked the pacesetter into the backstretch while saving ground at the rail, continued to save ground through the final turn, and closed willingly from along the rail in the drive to garner a share. DIOCLES angled in midway through the first turn, and settled off the early pace while racing at the rail entering the backstretch, rallied smartly two wide from between rivals through the final turn, and finished with late interest three wide in the drive. AUGUST RAIN away well and stalked the pacesetter three wide into the backstretch, launched a four wide rally through the final turn, and finished five wide in the drive while unable to make a late impact. SUNBIRD stalked the leader into the backside while saving ground along the inside, commenced his bid three wide from between rivals entering the final turn, but needed more while finishing four wide in the drive. SETTECENTO raced into tight quarters in the run to the first turn, before shifting four wide for clear sailing, continued with a wide trip throughout, and had little to offer in the late going. SETTECENTO pulled up on the backstretch and was unsaddled and walked off under his own power.
