Chart notes
E MINOR unhurried for the first five-eighths to be near the rear of the field into the far turn, rallied five wide to be in striking distance turning for home, engaged the pacesetter in mid-stretch and took command holding the closers safe. FORTUNE SELLER reserved off the pace in hand to the far turn, waited for racing room on the bend to be the trailer in a compact field, split horses in upper stretch and closed well belatedly. PEMAQUID PETE set the pace on a well measured lead, dug-in when challenged turning for home and tired in the final sixteenth. SLIM SLOW SLIDER stalked the pace to midway on the final bend, lost position turning for home and finished evenly passing tiring rivals late. PRAIRIE HAWK prompted the pace to midway on the final bend and weakened coming home. DOWAGIAC CHIEF was well placed racing along the fence tracking the leaders for three-quarters and dropped to the rear of the field lacking a late response.
