Chart notes
DEVIOUS DENNIS broke on top, cleared early, showed the way under light restraint, widened in the run up the backstretch and into the far turn, continued to hold a wide margin into the lane, geared down late to in win handy fashion. GOSPEL DON settled off the pace and the inside, rallied to earn the place and be well clear of the rest, no threat to the winner. SON OF PREACHERMAN lacked early foot, along for the show, no match for the top two. DA CHIEF chased the winner in vain, began to falter after a half when overtaken for the second spot, continued to weaken. MIDNIGHT TALKER broke out and was never a factor. EURA HAPPY HIPPIE fell back after the start, sluggish, jogged in, showed little. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate final time.
