Chart notes
DIAMOND DUST set a pressured pace while setting rapid fractions to the top of the lane, put away the presser turning for home only to be engaged by the runner-up midway down the lane and battled determinedly to prevail at the wire in a very game effort. PONCE DE LEON stalked the pace from the fence through the turn, waited for racing room at the quarter pole, rallied well up the inside to duel in the lane and was denied. BOLTAGE tracked the leaders down the backside from just off the pace in a compact bunch, steadied briefly nearing the seven-sixteenths pole from between rivals off heels, recovered quickly to chase on the turn, rallied from between rivals in upper stretch and finished best of the rest while unable to close on the top pair. GOOD DIRECTIONS trailed in the early going, rallied six wide circling the pack turning for home and showed some late interest. HECTOR saved ground to no avail lacking a closing rally. AQUITANIA ARRIVAL pressed the rapid pace for a half and weakened in the lane.
