Chart notes
KENTUCKY SMOKESHOW shied subtly from an inner foe soon after the start, prompted two wide, forged an advantage entering the lane, drove clear in midstretch and held sway from an outer pursuer. STAGE PRESENCE broke a step slow, chased four wide into the turn, crept closer to take aim outside of the top pair nearing the lane, but stalled progress in upper stretch, yet ran on in pursuit of the clear leader in the final furlong, closed in gradually late but needed more. ARMY GIRL tracked the top pair from the three path along with an outer rival into the turn, chased while tucking to the inside turning for home, then stayed on mildly to surpass an inner rival and gain show in the late stages. ELEGANT set the pace inside of the eventual winner, got headed entering the lane and gave way through the final furlong. CE LA VI CHARLI broke slowly yet avoided firm contact from an inner foe by doing so, raced off of the pace two wide, drifted out to the five to six path into the lane and failed to factor. DAY DAWNING veered outwardly at the start, raced off of the pace along the inside and got outrun.
