Chart notes
SPINNING ACES pressed the pace while racing between horses, challenged on the turn, dueled past the eighth pole and held off the late charge of CHEZ WHIZ. CHEZ WHIZ was slow early, raced outside, went widest in the drive, finished well and was gaining ground. HANDSOME HAROLD got away well, stalked the pace three wide, dropped back entering the stretch, lacked the needed rally and held safely for show. HELLO HOT ROD was pushed in at the start, saved ground, bid along the rail on the turn to get within range and hung late. MAXIMUS FREEDOM set a pressured pace, responded when challenged to duel past the eighth pole and was unable to sustain his bid. DANCIN WITH ANGELS raced close to the pace, swung seven wide leaving the turn and lacked the needed late response. ARKANSAS ZONG lagged early, offered a mild bid inside and failed to threaten. VETERANS DAY broke slowly, was taken wide and outrun. MONZZA was not a factor.
