Chart notes
TIME THE AVENGER rushed up three wide to press the pace before a quarter mile, responded under right then left handed urging to make the lead inside the sixteenth pole and proved best under confident handling. MONTEREY PENINSULA away alertly, set the pace until deep stretch, dug in gamely but couldn't handle the winner. MSHINDI saved ground into the stretch and went evenly. LITTLE VAQUERO trailed into the stretch then finished well along the rail. CHARGER with the second flight two wide, gave way in the stretch. OCEAN OF STORMS raced five wide and had no impact.
