Chart notes
WONDER GIRL , three wide on the turn, chased the pace, gained a short lead near the eighth pole and prevailed under urging. SWEETERTHANWHISKEY , steadied in traffic approaching the turn, steadied in traffic entering the turn, raced near the inner rail to upper stretch, altered course to the five path in mid stretch, switched leads a few times and closed gamely. SALLY'S GOLD brushed with SERGEANT MOLLY leaving the starting gate, hugged the inner rail and chased the pace in a willing effort. LAKESIDE GETAWAY , steadied in close quarters between horses near the half mile pole, raced off the inner rail into the stretch, swung outside near the sixteenth pole and passed tired rivals. SERGEANT MOLLY brushed with SALLY'S GOLD at the start, set the pace in the two path, weakened, pulled up short on the gallop out and was transported off the course on the equine ambulance. BLESSED CANDY circled the turn three wide, pursued the pace and weakened. QUEEN OF THE DANCE , four deep on the turn, drifted to the six path turning for home and was no factor. T C NEIGH raced between horses on the turn and weakened.
