Chart notes

STELLA BELLA was forwardly placed around the first turn and forced the pace up the backstretch, cleared command still racing in hand with three furlongs left to run, came two wide and shaken up for the drive, had plenty left in reserve, widened to a commanding lead and finished well clear. DIXIE SURPRISE was allowed to settle leaving the first turn and sat off the top trio in the early going, given cue three wide turning for home, sustained a solid bid through the final furlong but had to settle for second best. BORN FEARLESS raced up close around the first turn, stalked in striking range through the backstretch, hustled along three wide past the quarter pole, weakened off the top two leaders in the stretch run and kept on for a share. CRIMSON TAPESTRY raced two wide into the first turn then settled in the back, was ridden along two to three wide into the upper stretch and had no response. PROMISED OATH held a slim lead around the first turn, set a pressured pace through early stages, was no match for eventual winner leaving the backstretch and retreated in the lane.
