Chart notes
HEAVY POUR set the pace on a clear, well rated lead while well in hand, responded when called upon to never be seriously threatened maintaining a clear advantage throughout and pulled away late always in control. TWILIGHT DANCER reserved off the pace for the first half, rallied into the final turn along the rail to be well placed turning for home, failed to cut into the winner's lead while drawing well clear of the rest as second best. HE'S A MESS stalked the pacesetter to the three-eighths pole, came under a ride on the turn to keep pace and could not gain in the lane finishing evenly. VALENTINE BUG trailed through the first turn, narrowed the gap down the backside, came under a drive midway on the turn and lacked a closing response.
