SNOWNAME broke alertly to quickly go clear, maintained a clear lead into the turn, responded when engaged by the runner-up on the bend, surrendered the lead in upper stretch and found new life to be resurgent in the final yards and snatch victory in the shadow of the wire. OSKAR MARTINEZ (IRE) was well placed stalking the pacesetter down the backside, made a steady advance to challenge midway on the turn, took the lead in upper stretch and was caught by the early pacesetter late in the lane who came on again in the final yards. CARCONE tracked the leaders to the turn, rallied five wide to contention turning for home and made steady rally along the outside to be gaining with every stride belatedly. KEYSTONE HANK trailed to the quarter pole and passed weaker rivals with a bid to be closing ground down the stretch. GOLDEN SODA raced in contention to be prominently placed throughout and lacked a closing kick in the lane going evenly. CITY TRIPPER was not a threat failing to menace at any time.
