SOUND DOCTRINE dueled outside of a rival, bid at the eighth pole and was in time under a steady drive. MASTER MULE saved ground, angled to the four path at the eighth pole, bid late and just missed. BAJAN SUN dueled inside, bid at the eighth pole and gave way late. UNBRIDLED SLOPE bore out at the start, stalked the pace in the three path but had no late bid. HARD TO SAY stalked the pace inside but had no bid. EL CORDOBES was not a factor.
