Chart notes
SAMURAI LEGACY broke alertly to quickly go clear, was well rated while maintaining the clear advantage to the top of the lane, responded when challenged midway down the lane and prevailed gamely in a well handled ride. JOE PHILLIPS stalked the pace from three wide down the backside, made a steady advance midway on the turn to engage the winner in mid-stretch, battled that one to the wire and was denied in a good effort. BEACH HOLIDAY reserved off the pace to the turn, rallied on the bend tipping out around tiring rival, was caught behind a wall at the top of the lane, angled out to the seven path for clear running and was gaining late in the lane. EXTRA MEDIUM tracked the leaders to the turn, swept up on the bend to be prominent turning for home, angled to the inside to loom up in mid-stretch and flattened out in the final eighth. DUEL FUEL raced near the rear of the field to the head of the lane and showed some late interest without impact. RAINBOW TROUT was well placed along the rail to midway on the bend and tired. INNUENDO was not a factor.
