Chart notes
ALEMAN broke very sharply nearly popping the gate, settled in hand to a stalking position into the first turn, steadily gained on the pacesetter in the far turn, took command turning for home and held the closers safe. CALVIN'S RIDE rated in mid-pack to the far turn, rallied from five wide at the top of the lane and closed well to be gaining through the lane coming up just short. NIGHT RIDE unhurried for the first half mile to be the trailer, continued near the back on the final bend, angled seven wide for the drive and closed belatedly through the stretch. ADIOS BUCCANEER was well placed along the fence down the backside, saved ground on the turn, cut the corner at the head of the stretch to be prominent midway down the lane and could not gain on the leaders late. TEMPUS trailed to midway on the final turn, rallied turning for home, swung out wide in upper stretch off the heels of the wall of rivals and closed well with good late energy. SMALL FIELD went evenly failing to menace. FETE sped to the lead into the first turn, opened a wide advantage down the backside, continued on to midway down the lane and tired giving way in the final eighth. MR. COLOSSAL was not a threat. PEACE CLOUD tracked the pace from thee wide to the far turn and tired nearing the quarter pole.
