Chart notes
PUFF'SMAGICDRAGON had good early speed, dropped back to trail before a half mile, closed rapidly five then four wide through the far turn to make the lead in upper stretch and won under right handed urging. BROADWAY SKY pressed the pace two wide for four and one half furlongs, made the lead briefly, kept on into the stretch, drifted out bumping STAR SHOPPING past the three sixteenths pole and finished second best. STAR SHOPPING trailed for nearly a half mile, began to close ground four wide, was bumped in upper stretch then finished evenly. MR. THUNDERSTRUCK well placed, lacked the needed response. SMASH set a pressured pace for four and one half furlongs, was headed briefly into the far turn, regained command, set the pace pas the quarter pole and weakened late. DEEP FAITH stalked the pace three for for a half mile then came up empty. THE RIDER OF STAR SHOPPING LODGED A CLAIMED OF FOUL AGAINST THE RIDER OF BROADWAY SKY FOR ALLEGED INTERFERENCE IN UPPER STRETCH. AFTER REVIEW THE STEWARDS TOOK NO ACTION.
