Chart notes
GOURMET tracked the early pace and was in the two path on the turn, came three wide into the lane to make a bid and loomed boldly by the furlong marker and went on even terms by the sixteenth marker and edged clear late under strong handling to prove best. CARDINAL WAR CRY was away alertly and soon clear to set the pace while clear while off the inside, two path to the inside on the turn while remaining clear leaving the turn and then dug in gamely leaving the furlong marker and fought on but could not hold off the winner late while clearly second best. ICONA MAMA was climbing on the inside after a sixteenth of a mile, moved out to be two to three path on the turn and had no bid while besting the rest. NORMANDY LIFE stalked the pace three wide and came four to five wide off the bend and weakened. PRUSSIAN BLUE was settled on the outside, four to five path on the turn and came six wide into the lane and was not a threat. NEVER SO LUCKY (IRE) was settled on the inside and never factored.
