GOLD ASPEN vied for the early lead two wide into the first turn, then went on to set the pace and shook clear and moved towards the inside, then drew off leaving the turn and widened the margin under hand urging and was wrapped up the final sixteenth to prove much the best. GOOD FRIDAY MAN vied for the early lead on the inside, then moved to the outside to track the pace three to two wide and came three wide off the bend but proved to be no match for the winner while clearly second best. CHANNEL KING chased the pace three wide into the first turn, then settled and tired and was eased in the lane, walked off.
