Chart notes
LIGEIA prompted the pace inside, took the lead passing the half, faced an outer challenger rounding the far turn, dug in to fight off that challenger at the top of the lane, and drew clear. SECOND EXCHANGE pressed in the five path, bid in the two path around the far turn, but was repelled by the winner down the stretch. TOUGH AS NAILS set the pace in the three path, lost the lead between foes passing the half, floated out to the five path at the top of the lane, and finished evenly. WOODS HOLE stalked in the four path, angled out to the six path at the top of the stretch, but faded. LUCKY SHORE always trailed from around the four path. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
