Chart notes
COMISKEY PARK , forwardly placed while saving ground, eased out leaving the far turn and stalked three wide, moved up to engage the leader nearing mid stretch, wrested command near the sixteenth marker then eagerly spurted away under solid hand encouragement. XPRESSIR was sent clear nearing the half mile marker, set the pace two wide, was under pressure holding command past the three sixteenths, dug in when confronted soon after, battled inside the winner to about the sixteenth pole, faded but remained clear of the rest. GABAGOOL steadied near the half then steadied again when a bit keyed up off heels near the three eighths, regrouped to advance inside a rival, eased out in upper stretch, chased the top pair while on his left lead then came up empty. ALIBI IKE , three to four wide chasing the pace, weakened near mid stretch. REMEMBER THE MAINE saved ground and failed to menace.
