Chart notes
MOONLIGHTNWINE saved ground early while being reserved off the pace, came two-wide into the stretch, angled out slightly to find room between horses nearing the eighth pole while brushing with ALWAYS ON CAY and finished strongly to win drawing clear. CHIEF WILD EAGLE was prominent from the start, came three-wide into the stretch and closed strongly. ALWAYS ON CAY dueled with SIR GREYSON for the lead from along the outside, shook that one off nearing the stretch, then drifted in slightly, came back out to brushed with MOONLIGHTNWINE inside the eighth pole and held on well for third. HORSE DOCTOR was forwardly placed while racing four-wide, moved up to offer a bid nearing the eighth pole and then flattened out late. SAN ANDRES was allowed to settle, came five-wide into the stretch but lacked a rally. SIR GREYSON dueled for the lead from along the inside to the stretch and tired. HEY BATMAN was five-wide early while racing in the middle of the field and gave way during the drive.
