Chart notes
FLEETING EMBER was away alertly to show the way on the inside while clear and setting swift fractions, headed by the quarter pole, dug in gamely in the lane under left handed crop urging and prevailed late to prove best. IRISH COCO broke a tad outwardly and was four wide into the first turn, settled on the outside and made steady advance on the backstretch, made a quick three wide move to vie for command on the outside by the quarter pole, then had a long drive with the winner putting a nose in front by the furlong marker but was out-gamed late to miss. WARRIOR'S DEFENSE tracked the pace three to two wide, made a bid nearing the quarter pole, tipped out three wide leaving the turn and fought on but had no late kick while besting the rest. NOISY ON THE BAY chased the early pace from the inside, settled back and moved out on the far turn and came five wide into the lane and had no serious rally. HI HEELED WARRIOR was settled back and saved ground throughout and lacked a rally. FAYTASTIC was settled on the inside early, then moved out to be two to three wide on the far turn but never threatened.
