Chart notes
DAGGER RANCH was unhurried and raced in or near the back, came three wide into the upper stretch, roused for more, responded willingly, swept by late and finished going away. WILLIAMS EMPIRE briefly vied for the lead, shook free and held clear going by the half mile marker, held firm around the turn, widened to commanding lead a furlong out, ran on with response but was no match when the winner swept by late. OKIE CLIPPER raced off the early speed, hustled along the outside around the turn, ran on three wide down the lane and cleared a share. RUN FIRE RUN raced off the pace, saved ground then angled two to three wide for the drive and improved position without threatening. WHITING FIELD raced in range in the opening quarter, failed to progress when called upon around the turn and steadily faded. HIT SCENE briefly vied for the early lead, remained in contention around the turn and tired in the drive. SKIP THE LINE chased the top pair up the backstretch, sustained bid around the turn then retreated in the lane.
