Chart notes
SULTRY KITTEN held a slim lead soon after the start, widened to a clear advantage still in hand around the turn, saved ground entering the upper stretch, came under a ride, responded willingly and drew off. MATHURINE sat off the early pace, made a move near the inside mid-way around the turn, hustled along two wide into the upper stretch, ran on with response but was no match for winner and finished clearly second best. NOW WE GO broke on top and remained forwardly placed, chased three wide around the turn, weakened off the top pair down the lane and kept on for a share. MY LIGHTNIN BOLT tracked the early pace, coaxed three to four wide mid-way around the turn, drifted five wide into the upper stretch and gave way. ZETTIE lacked early speed, saved ground and failed to move into contention. MISS BOWRING was the closest pursuer of the pacesetter, came up empty late on the turn and dropped back.
