GOTME GOOD cleared from the outer post to get loose up front on the fence going into the first turn, moved well in hand down the backside, still had no challengers while rolling along comfortably in the far turn and was kept to the task down the lane to hold sway at the finish. CONN SMYTHE (GB) had a tracking position, alone while content on letting the lone speed go into the first turn, edged up a little closer down the backside, moved in for a brief moment posing a threat outside with a quarter mile to go, could not quicken with the winner who had more in reserve by the furlong pole but did show grit inside to fight back to capture the runners up position in deep stretch. STRATUS travelled three wide in midfield, closed the gap on the leader while three deep outside down the back straight, rallied three wide midway on the last turn, angled out in the five path full of run late and closed in sharply to just miss second money in a photo at the finish. SIGNATURE SIR had a good position on the rail watching the front two runners for the first part of the race, narrowed the margin shifting out by the quarter pole, was in the mix three wide between foes turning for home, could not get to the winner with a furlong remaining, faded in the two path with rivals on both sides closing with a sixteenth to go and settled for a minor role in the end. WILD CARD had rail position near the rear in the beginning, could see the field along the backside, offered a mild rally splitting horses at the quarter pole and in the two path, finished with interest between rivals in the final eighth of a mile. CAPTIVATING NAME was under a snug hold in midfield in the early going, ranged up in the two path with horses on each side at the half, kept pace with others through the last bend while scrubbed on between foes, shifted out four wide having a chance for a piece of the prize in upper stretch but flattened out late between horses. PROCEEDWITHCAUTION was close to the back of the pack having challengers on either side in the early parts, shifted just off the fence but could not advance running around the final bend, shifted back inwards to the rail for the stretch run but made little impression driving to the wire. HIGHLAND PEAK had a poor start when tossing its head on the break, settled at the back going four wide into the first turn, stalked three deep outside ahead of one runner along the backside, could not get into gear when asked for more run three wide through the far turn and was empty in the four path turning for home.
