Chart notes
BIG EFFECT set the pace inside, was roused passing the quarter, and dug in from the two path down the stretch to hold on. TOP GUN TOMMY prompted the pace in the three path, bid around the turn, dueled with an inner foe dwon the stretch, but got repelled by an inner foe. MIDNIGHT PRANKS trailed in the three path, was ridden from the rail passing the quarter, angled out to the five path passing the eighth pole, and ran on while on his left lead for show. LIGHTNING STRUCK chased in the four path, swung from the six path under a drive into the lane, and kept on. M B'S MUNNING tracked inside but finished evenly from the two path down the lane. PRINCIP rated in the four path, was driven between foes in the two path around the turn, floated out to the five path in upper stretch, and mildly gained. CODE OMAHA pressed in the two path but weakened in the three path down the lane. HONKY TONK HIGHWAY stalked in the four path but gave way in the stretch. MORELLO raced off the pace in the five path but made no closing bid.
