HIGHSTAKES HUSTLER settled mid-pack on the inside under stout restraint, was let loose after passing the half-mile pole, then made a bold sweeping move on the far turn to gain the lead near the quarter pole, carried the momentum into the stretch, and won comfortably. FROSTY BLUE tracked two to three wide in the middle of the pack, finished up well to gain second but was not making up any ground on the winner in the late stages. PROBLEM SOLVED kept to the inside and near the rear of the field to the stretch, swung four to five wide and rallied into third. TEMPLE OF PEACE raced between horses at the back of the main pack, was still with a lot to do late on the far turn, but finished up with some mild late interest to improve while never a serious win threat. JUNGLE LAW was held up while saving ground and racing close up through the early stages, lacked a winning bid but put forth an even effort. EQUAL FORCE reluctant to load, then sprinted to the front after the break, went together with NO SOY BORRACHO down the backstretch and through the turn, was overtaken passing the quarter pole, then finished even-paced in the late stages. MY HIGHMOON was the distant trailer to the stretch, then passed a few in the late stages. EASY EDDIE A settled near the back of the pack raced three wide and lacked late response. NO SOY BORRACHO dueled/stalked EQUAL FORCE through the early stages, weakened near the quarter pole and had little to offer in the stretch.
