Chart notes
BOB'S SNIPER had the best speed, set all the pace to the stretch and held driving. HAKUNUI was crowded early, fought through in and tracked to the second turn, bid three wide to the stretch and closed steadily to get the place. BIG BAD BRIAN hustled from the outside and pressed the winner two wide to the stretch then lacked a closing bid and was caught late for second. MR MEMPHIS took up sharply to avoid heels early, had no speed then saved ground to no avail. POLLO D'ORO drifted out early and caused some traffic problems, chased the leaders three wide to the second turn then came up empty. OUR EMPIRE was crowded in the early stages and checked, tracked four wide for four furlongs then weakened. TIZ INDY was cut off by SWEET BEAU ROLL shortly after the start, took up then clipped heels, stumbled but recovered, was five to the backstretch then did not threaten. SWEET BEAU ROLL lugged in early and caused traffic issues with those inside him and was dull and trailed throughout. The stewards conducted an inquiry but did not alter the result.
