Chart notes
PUNTO FORTY hustled to a forward position on the inside, switched to the two path for the turn, challenged from outside past the three-eighths pole, seized control entering the lane, put inner rival away quickly in upper stretch and remained clear to the wire under strong handling and a tap of right handed urging. L RANKIN broke in and bumped, raced in range three wide leaving the backstretch, moved into the two path quickly, shied from ST PETERSBURG near the three-sixteenths pole, drifted over to the inside and gained second. ST PETERSBURG chased out of range five wide into the turn, was on the move while angling to the three path, spun four wide into the lane, took aim at the winner but lugged in through the stretch and got edged for the place honors. SLEEPER SULLIVAN tracked the speed well off the rail early, checked behind a rival at the seven-sixteenths pole, dove down to the inside on the turn, kept on for a minor award but never threatened. LEE'S BABY BOY got bumped back at the start, lacked early speed, trailed on the inside through the bend and was outrun. MY MORONI stumbled a bit at the start but was able to recover quickly, sent clear to take control, challenged by the winner midway around the bend, lost command entering the lane and gave way.
