Chart notes
MIDNIGHT RULES was unhurried and settled off the early pace, continued patiently ridden and saved ground around the final turn, hustled along entering the head of the lane, advanced into contention, tipped two wide mid-stretch and drove clear. FREEDOM TO SPEED led the way around the first turn, vied up the backstretch, continued to battle around the final turn, dug in gamely, shook free entering the upper stretch, held clear going by the furlong marker, continued to put in a good effort then got overtaken late. BAXTER was forwardly placed around the first turn, stalked up the backstretch, moved up to race in aim near the quarter pole, could not move on for the lead turning for home, kept on and prevailed for a share. CINCO DE MO was not too far back in early stages, hustled along three wide late on the far turn, ran on four wide into the upper stretch and needed more for late impact. KISSED A CADET was allowed to settle through early stages, moved up to challenge for the lead mid-way around the far turn, vied past the quarter pole then came up empty and gave way. BAND'S FREE SPIRIT was forwardly placed around the first turn, vied up the backstretch, failed to keep pace around the final turn and steadily retreated.
