Chart notes
BEAU DAY quickly cleared command and angled to the inside, set the uncontested pace and remained clear around the turn, saved ground and hustled along entering the upper stretch, responded willingly and pulled away. CRAVENSWORTH tracked in contention along the inside, put to a drive along the rail near the quarter pole, cut the corner entering the upper stretch, ran on near the inside and cleared second best. REMAINING NAMELESS was forwardly placed soon after the start, made a three wide move mid-way around the turn, sustained bid to the furlong marker then weakened to show. MR. SWEETS hustled out of the gate but lacked early speed and raced in the back, saved ground around the turn, put to a drive two to three wide in the upper stretch and improved late. NINETEEN HUNDRED was forwardly placed soon after the start, sustained a three wide bid around the turn then gave way. AUX ARCS showed response in the opening quarter then steadily faded. BETTER EDGE raced off the early pace, failed to progress when called upon, swung four to five wide into the upper stretch and never menaced.
