Chart notes
RESEMBLANCE took a bump from inside leaving the gate, stalked from inside early, moved off the rail on the backstretch, went two wide into the far turn, angled out and exited the bend in the five path, struck the front past the three-sixteenths pole and drove clear. MAJESTIC PALISADES took control from inside, drifted out on the far turn still holding a clear advantage, challenged from outside in upper stretch, shifted out and bothered WHITE MOUNTAIN near the three-sixteenths pole, lost command shortly after and held second. GENTLEMEN'S CLUB trailed in the two path early, passed a rival on the backstretch, entered the far turn three wide, came five wide into the lane and finished willingly to earn the show honors. WHITE MOUNTAIN chased two to three wide early, three then four wide on the second turn, challenged at the quarter pole, got forced out and impeded by MAJESTIC PALISADES near the three-sixteenths pole, kept on to the wire and lost third. HOLLYWOOD IMPACT settled in the four path on the first turn, fell back to last in the middle stages, went two wide into the far turn, came five wide into the stretch and failed to menace. CARDINAL SPIRIT broke out and bumped, was closest in pursuit in the two path early, chased inside a rival off the rail into the far turn, found the rail again on the far turn, came two wide into the stretch, tired and eased to the wire, fell shortly after crossing the finish line but was able to get back up and walked into the equine ambulance to be transported off the track. THERE WAS A STEWARDS' INQUIRY INVOLVING MAJESTIC PALISADES AND WHITE MOUNTAIN AT THE THREE-SIXTEENTHS POLE. FOLLOWING A REVIEW, THE STEWARDS DISQUALIFIED MAJESTIC PALISADES FROM SECOND TO FOURTH FOR SHIFTING OUT AND INTERFERING WITH WHITE MOUNTAIN, COSTING THAT RIVAL A CHANCE AT A BETTER PLACING.
