Chart notes
PLATINUM GHOST away alertly, set all the pace, widened into the stretch under right handed urging and was taken in hand late. EXCITEMENT had speed from the start two wide, leaned in entering the turn then was no match for winner while clearly second best. WETZEL trailed into the stretch and found his best stride late along the rail. FROSTY PAWS had good early speed, moved closer four wide into the turn then failed to sustain that bid. RECKLESS L J chased the winner along the rail down the backstretch, was squeezed from his outside nearing the three furlong marker, checked hard and lost momentum. PLAYING FOR KEEPS chased the winner three then two wide to the top of the stretch then weakened. KINDERHOOK had speed into the turn then wilted. THE STEWARDS POSTED THE INQUIRY SIGN AND AFTER REVIEW DISQUALIFIED EXCITEMENT FOR INTERFERENCE WITH RECKLESS L J NEAR THE THREE FURLONG MARKER AND PLACED HIM FIFTH.
