Chart notes
MISTER WAYSIDE broke alertly, showed the way past the wire the first time, was pressured through the first turn off the inside, given a breather in the run up the backstretch, turned back an inside bid from the runner up early in the final turn and stayed clear to the wire under steady handling. STAGE LEFT hopped slightly at the start, raced in the second flight while racing off the inside, was called on for run between horses midway up the backstretch, lodged an inside bid early in the final turn, failed to sustain that effort to the wire, remained comfortably clear for the place. OKIE SMOKE void of speed four a half, staged a mild rally off the inside to prove best of the rest. TOMMYHAWK fell back to trail after the start, well back onto the backstretch, displayed a mild amount of late interest after the issue had been decided to improve position. HIGHTAIL COWBOY broke with the winner, raced forwardly in prompting that one the opening three furlongs and was finished. RIPSTER lacked speed, continued back and was in tight between rivals turning for home, lacked a closing kick. PEPPERMINT CANDY last away, moved up to within striking distance for four furlongs, gave way, trailed well back. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
