Chart notes
HURTS SO BAD broke outward, corrected and vied outside foes before clearing near the half, set a rated pace two wide around the turn, had his rider drop the crop leaving the three sixteenths, kept on under a solid hand ride and held sway. ALTO ROAD was sent from the gate, prompted the pace along the inner rail, gave hard chase into the stretch, shifted out for the final furlong, kept on gamely and slowly gained. CHRISTMAS PRESENT dropped well off the early pace, saved ground into the stretch but failed to get involved. DEMAND RANSOM gave hard chase of the top pair, came three wide for the drive, faltered past the three sixteenths and was eased late.
