Chart notes
COMMISSIONER GULCH , three deep into the turn pursuing the embattled leaders, shifted wider under pressure in upper stretch, rolled up to engage MARY'S BOON nearing mid stretch, wrested command approaching the sixteenth pole and drew clear under a drive. SALLY'S SUPRISE chased the duelers while between runners, shifted out for the drive, closed steadily and gained the place outside MARY'S BOON. MARY'S BOON got into a pace scrum soon after the break, battled outside FIRST HILL into and around the turn, shrugged that one off under pressure in upper stretch, dug in when joined by the winner, fought on past the sixteenth marker then gave way stubbornly in the final yards. DEVIL chased to the inside of a pair of rivals into and around the turn then failed to generate a rally. MANAGING MISCHIEF , off a bit slow after hopping in the air, regrouped and raced off the pace, angled out leaving the three eighths but lacked a bid. FIRST HILL disputed the pace along the inside from soon after the break, sparred under a hearty ride past the five sixteenths, failed to kick on leaving the three sixteenths and weakened.
