GROUCH vied two wide for the lead, dueled three wide on the far turn, put a head in front, then dueled with LAST ROMANCE through the final furlong and gamely prevailed in the two path. LAST ROMANCE tracked close up on the inside, made a rail bid on the far turn, dueled, dug in gamely on the rail in the stretch drive and battled on to the finish. DOIN THIS was off slowly, raced three wide early, stalked close up outside, bid four wide on the far turn, dueled, weakened and held for third. ISLAND SPIRIT pulled in the early stages, vied inside for the lead, dueled between rivals on the far turn and weakened. IRISH BOOLUM raced off the pace inside, chased inside on the far turn and lacked a rally. AMATTEROFTIME was off slowly, raced three wide off the pace, chased on the far turn and failed to threaten.
