Chart notes
LAURELIN (IRE) was settled along the outside, made a three wide move on the far turn and came four wide off the bend and finished strong edging clear late to prove best under a drive. CANDY QUEST tracked the leader through the first half mile, made a two wide bid by the quarter pole to go on even terms for command, came three wide off the bend and took over, then was engaged by the winner leaving the furlong marker and dug in gamely but yielded late while clearly second best. REINING FLOWERS was allowed to settle along the inside, two wide off the bend and won the battle for the show award. BESSIE ABOTT (IRE) lunged at the break, then was a bit rank under a hard hold into the first turn, reserved on the inside and then moved out to be two to three path on the turn and swung out four wide leaving the turn but had no kick. PURE MAJESTIC was away alertly and showed the way on the inside while clear, headed by the quarter pole and weakened in the lane.
