Chart notes
ONE BIG HAAS sped to the lead at the start and set the early pace, held a slim lead at the quarter pole, roused for more leaving the turn, responded, turned back bids, widened advantage, kept on gamely and held clear. FORTY NINER GOLD edged up closer entering the turn, loomed three wide at the quarter pole, failed to reach the eventual winner but stayed on with response and dug in for place. DETERMINED LOVER raced in contention along the inside, had to wait for a clear path around the turn, cut the corner and given cue at the head of the lane, tipped two wide near mid-stretch and got out-nodded for place. TRAFALGAR'S HERO was forwardly placed soon after the start, raced two wide in aim for the lead at the quarter pole, failed to reach the eventual winner but sustained bid into the lane and yielded late. SALTHAWK raced in the back, hustled along three wide into upper stretch, angled to the inside and improved position without threatening. HAYAHLOOKATME was not far back along the inside in early stages, flattened three wide around the turn and never threatened in the lane. COOL AND CLOUDY raced off the early pace, swung four to five wide into the lane and lacked a needed rally.
